EMC Engineering Services, Inc. (EMC) is currently celebrating our 30th anniversary. Incorporated in November of 1978, EMC began as a partnership of three professional engineers providing environmental, marine, and civil engineering to the local municipalities, industries, and private developers. After five years, the firm had tripled in size and moved from its original offices on Liberty Street in Savannah to our present location in the heart of Historic Savannah downtown business district. After ten years in business, EMC had grown to become one of the top three firms in the Savannah area with expanded services that included surveying, transportation engineering, and landscape architecture.
In 1998, after twenty years in business, EMC had grown into a multi-disciplined regional firm with our main office still in Savannah and the first branch office in Statesboro, Georgia. Over the past ten years, EMC has expanded its service area to include Albany, Atlanta, Augusta, Brunswick, Columbus, and Valdosta.
Annual revenues tripled over this time period and services were expanded to include geotechnical engineering and materials testing services. This rapid growth was enabled by our management philosophy of providing company ownership opportunities to deserving professionals, which provides incentive for greater achievements. EMC’s growth and sustainability over its thirty year history is a testament to this management philosophy while providing quality services on time and within budget to satisfied clientele.
EMC’s current staff includes professional engineers, landscape architects, registered land surveyors, geologists, technicians, construction inspectors, and administrative personnel.
